Until a few years ago, “permitted” beauty products for Muslim women were a niche sector. The EU ban of the animal testing for beauty products and the increased diffusion of vegan cosmetics have spread “bio” creams, make-up and lipsticks. The word “halal” on them is an additional guarantee.
Some studies say that the growing request of permitted products made the “halal make-up” turnover increase: the total value is about 20 billion dollars. This sector will attract lots of new profits in the future.
